Starting a new series, based on things in the night sky. So, planets, stars, asteroids, galaxies, horse-head nebula, etc. etc. For the first tutorial I’m just going right to the main thing.. The sky, a night sky to be exact. Everything revolving around outer space has to start with the sky (at least when looking at everything from here on Earth). Remember, if this is to much look for you just tone it down, don’t extend everything so far out, wear a nude lip, anything! There are many many ways to alter a look to better fit your own personal style. Just do whatever you find best fits in your own comfort zone. Think of tutorials more like we’re drawing the outline, and you fill in the picture however you want, not a color by numbers book where you have to do it exactly how it says. Thats boring! Recreating a face chart i did for the Nocturnelle collection MAC released in Autumn 2006.

With color names like, Beauty Sleep, Deep Attraction, Wait Till Dark, Night Affair, Aloof, & Passionate I think the title is fitting, yah?
The original name for this look was “Devious Nature” thanks to Doozywhoop on twitter. So thanks for the idea!!

p.s. if you didn’t catch it already, my title is like a drag name of sorts for “nocturnal emission” s’mooooove.

Misty Maven is back! This time with a faux entry to the contest I’m having.

I pulled my inspiration from the buildings meeting with the sky in the upper left hand corner of the [inspirational] photo. The colors instantly stood out to me so I went with it.
The hair reminds me of the beach, wavy/messy from being wet and in the wind all day.
Then to top it off, I added bold colorful flowers for that little Hawaiian flair.

Since I’m sure I will get asked somewhere, this video took 60 minutes to record. All around it was about 90 minutes from start to finish.

Gluttony, gluttony, gluttony.

Usually gluttony is shown as being gross, sloppy, and a pig. Instead of going gross, I’m keeping it classic and doing a bold lip instead. Big isn’t always gross, it can also be beautiful!
Inspired by a traditional pin-up, (think classic Vargas Girl meets modern Banker Chic) you can wear this look with a nude lip, & no wing on the liner for your day to day activities. After work throw on a bolder colored lipstick/gloss, add more to the liner and you’re set to party all night!

Back from vacation, so why not come back with a mini bang?!

The short wig is a synthetic wig I cut and styled before doing this tutorial.. The long wig is human hair, again cut and styled by me before the tutorial… Both are from the many wigs I own from random wig shops. That aside, I’ll skip all the other talk and jump right into everything!

I was going through the files on my external hard drive, and came across all my old face charts, and this video about lashes on a face chart. Decided to upload all of  the charts to share a few, and uploaded the video to my other channel for everyone to see. Since lashes seem to be the trouble maker for most people when it comes to chats, & you have to get the approval from a trainer in order to put lashes on your own face charts this might be very helpful to some!

If everyone likes this whole face chart how to dealio, I’ll do more of them. I will also spotlight other peoples face charts, and face chart videos that I think would help a lot of people. So let me know what you think!!
