What does Petrilude mean?
It’s an interlude from the Basement Jaxx album ‘Kish Kash.’ I liked the name, so I went with it. Also note I made this account 2 years before I started making YouTube videos.
How old are you?
I was born in 1985.
Where do you live?
Chicago, Illinois, United States.
What do you do for a living?
I do makeup, freelance.
What kind of music do you like?
My #1 favorite when it comes to music will forever be Daft Punk.
Other than Daft Punk I listen to everything! I favor some genres more than others, but everyone does. Just check out my favorites on YouTube & you’ll be able to hear a lot of what I like.
Where did you go to school to learn how to do makeup?
I’m self taught. I read makeup books, looked at fashion magazines, & practiced on my own face. There’s also 2 videos on that.
I’m trying to decide on which makeup school I should go to, can you help?
No, sadly I cannot. I didn’t go to school to learn how to do makeup so I don’t know what to look for in a school, or which school is better than another. A little research about the schools you’re interested in & comparing them should help you figure out which is best for you.

Yes. Links to the social networking sites I’m a member of can always be found on my YouTube channel, or the links section on this website.
What is the best foundation, concealer, powder, etc.?
I haven’t tried every foundation, concealer, or powder that is out in the world, so I honestly can’t say which the ‘best’ is. I have personal favorites but they might not work for you, everyone’s skin is different & needs different things. The products I like to use on my skin, I use in my videos.
How do you get your teeth so white?
Good oral hygiene.
Your skin is perfect, what do you use?
My skin is far from perfect; I have scars & activities on my skin just like most people. What you see in videos is an illusion created with concealer + powder, & bright lights.
Why did you stop working at MAC?
I just didn’t want to work there anymore, so I moved on.
How do I get a job at MAC?
First step is filling out an application.
Where did you get that piece of jewelry?
A lot of my jewelry is old & I don’t remember where I got it, or they don’t make it anymore. If I purchase a new piece from a website there will be a link to that website in the video description. Otherwise this video shows a few of my favorite pieces (at the time) and tells you where I got them, and a few other places I buy some items.
What size are your lobes?
Half inch.
What are those long bars in your ear called?
Barbells, hah! But I assume everyone asking this means what the piercing itself is called. They’re both an industrial/scaffold.
Did your piercings/tattoos hurt?
Pain is subjective. Everyone has a different threshold for pain, if a needle going through your skin or a needle poking you over & over sounds painful then it will probably hurt. If it doesn’t sound too bad, then you’ll be fine.
